I have authored and co-authored a number of articles, monographs, and books in the fields of international education, intercultural relations, and organizational development. A small sampling of titles over the span of my career includes: Students of Four Decades: Participant Reflections on the Impact and Meaning of International Educational Exchange (2009); Learning Interdependence: A Case Study of the International Education of First-Year College Students (2001); Utilizing the Effects of Youth Exchange (1994); “The Role of International Educational Exchange in Conflict Reduction” (1993); “Evaluating Organizational Effectiveness Interventions” (1981); “Facilitating Inter-organizational Relations” (1976); and The Language of Art and the Language of Science: An Argument for Bilingual Portrayal in Behavioral Science Research (1975).

I have given numerous keynote and panel presentations in my areas of academic and professional specialization.

Poetry and Prose

In retirement, I have turned to memoir, fiction, and poetry. My work has appeared in several publications by Woodland Arts Editions, including Seeing Things: An Anthology of Poetry (2020), the chapbook Capital Ironies: Washington, DC Poems and Prose (2020), Kirinski’s Life & Times: A Novel (2021), and Just Then, Just There: Poems (2023). Recent poetry has also appeared in Silver Birch Press, Poetry and Places, Sequestrum, and The Ekphrastic Review.

Below are images of the anthology and chapbook, along with the simultaneously published chapbooks of three other poets published by Woodland Arts Editions: Lynne Kemens, Julene Waffle, and Vicki Whicker.

I have been a featured reader a number of times.
